OUR PLANET WEEK

Our Planet Week illustration movement was founded by digital artist & illustrator Asia Orlando in 2020, after a series of devastating events that took place during that year, among them, the fire in the Amazon’s and Australia’s bushfires. The concept of the illustration challenge is to use what we do best to create environmental awareness and start a movement that resonates each year. And maybe reach more and more people to drive change.

In 2021, they teamed up with @onetreeplanted to plant a tree for every illustration submitted during this challenge. 

I took this opportunity to research about various topics concerning the environment and to educate myself so as to become more conscious with my choices, while also exploring this personal style of mine a little more.
